Independence
CoinsCipher writers do not accept payment from the platforms they cover in exchange for coverage. Affiliate and referral relationships, where they exist, do not influence recommendations. See our ownership and funding page for the full list of business relationships.
Source hierarchy
Every factual claim about a product (fees, KYC requirements, jurisdictional availability, supported coins) must trace to a primary source — the exchange's own fee schedule, terms, support docs, or a regulator filing. We do not source facts from competitors' blogs.
Review methodology
Reviews are scored on a fixed rubric (fees, security, coin selection, UX, jurisdictional access, customer service). The score breakdown is printed on every review. Scores are updated when the underlying facts change — a fee rise, a KYC tightening, a jurisdiction change, an incident.
Verification cadence
Every review carries a "facts verified" date. Reviews are re-verified at least every 90 days, and immediately after any material change we notice. Older content clearly displays its last verification date so readers can judge freshness.
Author expertise
Every article names a human author. Crypto reviews are written or reviewed by staff with hands-on trading, custody, and reporting experience. Author bios list expertise and prior work.
AI use
We use AI tools to accelerate research, summarize primary sources, and cross-check facts. We do not publish AI-generated articles without a named human writer taking editorial responsibility for the final text, the accuracy of every claim, and the reader-facing tone.
Updates
When we update a review, we log the change on the page (what changed, why, and when) rather than silently rewriting the article. See our corrections policy.
