Conflicts of interest

CoinsCipher staff who write about a platform must disclose any personal financial position (holdings, employment history, family relationships) that could influence the review. Disclosures appear on the review itself, not buried in a footer.

Gifts and hospitality

Staff do not accept gifts, paid trips, or hospitality from platforms we cover. Standard conference passes and public press releases are fine.

Personal trading

Staff cannot trade a coin or platform they are actively writing about during the drafting window and for a 48-hour cool-down after publication. Long-term positions must be disclosed on any review that touches them.

Third-party relationships

Affiliate, referral, or advertising relationships, where they exist, are disclosed at the top of the relevant page — not tucked into a footnote. See ownership and funding.

Sensitive coverage

We do not cover a platform if a staff member has an active undisclosed financial position, past employment we have not disclosed, or a personal relationship with leadership. In those cases, coverage is reassigned or declined.
